On 13 October Schenker DOOEL officially opened its new terminal in Skopje. The building complex is the most modern logistics terminal of its type in Macedonia and is notable for its excellent accessibility. It is 15 km outside Skopje, 10 km from the airport and at the intersection of corridors 8 and 10 on the international motorway from Belgrade to Thessaloniki.

Zoran Lazoroski, Managing Director of Schenker DOOEL
The terminal in Skopje covers an area of 8,200 m² with 800 m² office space and a 2,500 m² warehouse, most of which is in the form of a customs-free warehouse for cross-docking. Around 900 m² with up to 700 pallet positions are available for contract logistics.
The DB Schenker national company in Macedonia provides the entire range of services and is fully integrated in the DB Schenker European network. Apart from road transport it also offers air freight, which is mostly handled at Vienna Airport, sea freight import, and rail transport import and export.
“The opening of the new terminal is a great step forward for us. The new site will permit us to offer our customers top service in all transport sectors. It is a reward to our team for their achievements in the past and will enable them to work in future in much better conditions,” says Zoran Lazoroski, managing director of Schenker DOOEL.

New location in Skopje offers all services
Schenker DOOEL was founded ten years ago and has developed very successfully. It has thirty-five employees in Skopje and in spite of the difficult economic situation in Macedonia and the strong reliance on imports, it has set itself ambitious growth targets for the next few years.
